MSWH2 Inc., to Exhibit Its Municipal Solid Waste to Low-Cost Hydrogen Technology at the Waste Conversion Technology Conference

Golden, CO, July 30, 2024 MSWH2 Inc. (“MSWH2,” or “the Company”), a Green Hydrogen company, announced today that the Company will exhibit it’s Absolute Pyrolysis Technology (APT) at the Waste Conversion Technology Conference on August 12-14 in San Diego, CA.

MSWH2 is a clean fuels company that transforms solid waste and biomass into hydrogen and other carbon-neutral fuels.  The Company’s licensed APT is an innovative, cutting-edge technology that produces synthesis gas, a blend of carbon monoxide and hydrogen, from any carbonaceous feedstock including municipal solid waste, biomass, used tires, and unsorted plastics.  Pure synthesis gas, or syngas, is the chemical building block required for creating numerous commodity chemicals, specialty chemicals, chemical intermediates, transportation fuels, base oils, and indeed, hydrogen itself.

With this disruptive technology, MSWH2 will produce green hydrogen at prices comparable to commercial, fossil-fuel-derived H2 and at a cost significantly lower than all other green hydrogen producing processes currently on the market.  Most importantly, this process is completely scalable allowing for “Distributed Production” near the point of consumption whether the consumer is a large fertilizer plant or a small fuel cell vehicle (FCV) filling station. Hydrogen is costly and difficult to transport.  Our potential feedstocks, MSW and biomass, are everywhere and distributed production solves the challenging hydrogen transportation issue.

At the heart of MSWH2’s recently licensed process is a pyrolysis method that changes waste feedstock into clean synthesis gas and inert biochar while producing zero air emissions.  Alternative process configurations provided by Extiel create hydrogen, methanol, ammonia, or transportation fuels as process outputs.  Some process configurations also produce a concentrated CO2 stream, ready for sequestration or liquefaction and beneficial commercial use.  Virtually all syngas-consuming processes involve catalysts that are highly sensitive to trace impurities and therefore, the syngas must be of high purity.  APT produces clean syngas that requires minimal post processing saving both capital and operating costs resulting in lower cost of production.

MSWH2 forecasts green hydrogen production for less than a $1.00/kg. By comparison, electrolysis is energy negative consuming more energy in the form of electricity than the resulting hydrogen contains, and at a cost of $5.00-6.00/kg.   The Company is able to produce green hydrogen using low-cost renewable feedstocks combined with the energy-efficient patented APT system.  We will be the lowest cost producer of green hydrogen.

The United States generates over 250 million tons of municipal solid waste (MSW) per year. More than half of this waste is landfilled.  Landfills emit carbon dioxide, methane, and hydrogen sulfide, all strong greenhouse gas emissions.  Methane has a global warming effect that is over 80x that of CO2 over a 20-year period, meaning it traps heat in the atmosphere.  Landfilled waste is the largest source of human-generated methane.  Our technology will potentially divert millions of tons of MSW from landfills to beneficial use and zero carbon fuels like hydrogen.

“As we get closer to beginning development of our first production plant we continue to find potential partners and this conference has several attendees that we aim to present to” said John Huemoeller II, CEO of MSWH2 Inc. “Our low-cost hydrogen with distributed production while reducing the amount of municipal solid waste landfilled we believe will become the industry standard needed for a cleaner sustainable future.”

About MSWH2 Inc.

MSWH2 is a clean fuels company that transforms waste into hydrogen and other usable fuels. MSWH2 utilizes disruptive patented technology to economically produce H2 from any carbonaceous material including municipal solid waste and biomass. The APT process licensed from breaks down these materials into their basic constituents including turquoise or green hydrogen. For more information on MSWH2, please visit  https://www.mswh2.com
